Managing your pre-placement compliance
Before starting your placement, you must meet certain pre-placement requirements. These requirements fall into immunisation, non-immunisation and course specific categories, all of which are crucial for the safety of staff, patients, and the general public. These requirements follow the Department of Health's Standardised Student Induction Protocol in addition to specific requirements agreed upon between the placement host and course programs.
If your placement is taking place in a healthcare environment, you must read and be familiar with the Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights. This obligation is also listed in your Student Undertaking Form.
