About

About the Conference

I am pleased to share with you the full program for our Faculty’s 2021 Learning and Teaching Conference and invite your registration. Our Learning and Teaching Conference is an important opportunity for us to talk with, and learn from, each other; to make new connections and to re-connect.

The conference is for academic, professional and honorary staff. I am also delighted that the conference is also to feature presentations and panel contributions by students. It is so important that we engage closely with students as partners, not only to listen, but to collaborate on innovations, scholarship and directions that can enhance teaching, learning and the student experience.

The themes of connections and collaborations run across the full program - over the first day, where we focus on authentic learning and teaching innovation, and over the second day, where we focus on the student experience. These themes are also central to the Graduate Student Life Achieving Excellence Grants Program for which applications are open until November 8, and they are themes that I will touch on in a conversation on the second day with Professor Sarah Wilson, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Life).

Please take time to review the full program and please register if you haven’t already done so. I look forward to seeing you there.

Warm regards,

Marilys
