Day one of Placement

Here's a short checklist of things to ensure you and your student gets off to a great start:

  1. Provide onsite orientation

Please provide onsite orientation for the student(s).

  2. Complete learning agreement

The students will come to the placement with a partially completed learning agreement. On the first day of placement, spend one-on-one time reviewing the learning agreement together. This will need to be signed by both you and the student.

  3. Lay out learning goals

The students will come to the placement with some learning goals generated. The first day and week of placement is a good opportunity for you to discuss with the student what will be feasible and likely with your current caseload and context. Ask the students to review their learning goals and return them to you for signing the following week.
