This section lists university grants and awards for disability research and leadership.

University of Melbourne Grants 

Diversity and Inclusion Grants
These grants focus on research that advances diversity and inclusion activities within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Applications open every September and up to two grants of $25,000 each is available annually.

Melbourne Disability Institute Seed Funding
Seed funding of up to $30,000 is available to researchers for small to medium projects at the discovery or pilot phase of research. Priority is given to projects that are driven by people with disability, involves partnerships and have practical outcomes that may lead to future funding.

Graduate Student Research Support Fund
MDI have a new fund to support students undertaking inclusive disability research. University of Melbourne graduate students may apply for a grant of up to $3,000 to help support collaborative, co-designed research with people with disability and their representative organisations.

Global, Place and Community Excellence Awards
These awards recognise best practice in the strategic pillars of Global, Place and Community in the University strategy 2030, Advancing Melbourne. The awards recognise meaningful engagement and collaboration with our students, staff, alumni, and partners with shared community benefit. The awards are open to academic and professional staff.
