Since my school years, I was really keen on pursuing a degree in health at a prestigious university such as Melbourne Uni, which provides great opportunities for learning and development.
Being in the heart of the Biomedical Precinct, I was drawn to the valuable ties the University of Melbourne has with world-renowned clinicians and facilities such as the Peter Doherty Institute. The close proximity to the CBD and well-connected public transport network also appealed to me.

The diverse scope of the Bachelor of Biomedicine stood out to me. Being able to have hands-on experience in my undergraduate degree, such as in anatomy labs, has really allowed me to grow academically by giving me the chance to apply theory and translate it into practical activities. This complemented the great interdisciplinary learning and exposure offered during my undergraduate degree.

The Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne offers a diverse set of future careers, ranging from research to healthcare. I hope to pursue my studies within the healthcare domain and develop my skillsets further so I can make a positive contribution towards our healthcare system and community. I would also like to continue to motivate others in our field to do the same and make a difference.

My advice for future students would be to pursue your dream with sincerity and hard work. Immerse yourself within the university community, get to know your peers and have a collaborative approach towards achieving team goals. Above all, enjoy and don’t forget to have fun!!
