Welcome to the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences website for Research.

Our Faculty conducts an enormously diverse range of research. Much of this focuses on improving health and the treatment of medical conditions. However, there is also a large amount of work generating fundamental new knowledge regarding human function and behaviour. Our work is conducted in laboratories, affiliated hospitals and the wider community, and for much of it we are recognised internationally as leaders.

This website celebrates the discoveries being made within the Faculty and provides insight into the vast range of research opportunities available. You can discover ways to join and connect with researchers within and across the Faculty, as well as learn more about all stages of the research process and supports available.

During my time as Associate Dean of Research, I will strive to support all the Faculty’s researchers in all aspects of their work. I welcome suggestions as to how we can further grow our research achievements while fostering staff wellbeing.
