ACMD

The Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery is Australia’s first collaborative, hospital-based biomedical engineering research centre. ACMD will be a purposed-designed Centre at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne with the vision to position Australia as a global leader in Biomedical Engineering.
Australian BioCommons

The Australian BioCommons is enhancing Australia’s digital life science research through world class collaborative bioinformatics infrastructure. Core funding for the Australian BioCommons comes from the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) via Bioplatforms Australia, with significant additional co-investment from a variety of partner organisations around Australia including the University of Melbourne and the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. We are hosted by the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.
ADNeT

ADNeT’s unique dementia community draws together the expertise of researchers in 17 universities and research institutions across Australia. In the short 4 years we have established Australia’s first clinical quality registry (CQR) on dementia, launched memory clinics national quality guidelines and service maps, enabled access to new diagnostic scans and blood tests, and boosted clinical dementia trials in Australia. The collaborative work of ADNeT is the foundation to better and more equitable dementia prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care and cure.
AEPCC

The Australian Early Psychosis Collaborative Consortium (we call it AEPCC, pronounced ‘APEX’) was established to improve the care of young people experiencing psychosis. Partnering with researchers, clinicians, lived experience communities, mental health advocacy groups, policy makers and governments across Australia to strengthen clinical services and build a framework for streamlining the translation of research into real-world treatment for young people with early psychosis.
AHRA

The Australian Health Research Alliance is the voice of seven Advanced Health Research and Translation Centres and three Centres for Innovation in Regional Health - all accredited by the NHMRC. Each centre is a partnership of multiple health services, connected to research centres and universities. We are uniquely positioned to address unmet needs in healthcare by helping researchers work with healthcare providers and consumers to deliver evidence-based care that offers better outcomes, best value and equity of provision.
AIID

The Australian Institute for Infectious Disease is a new initiative supported by the Victorian Government to enhance our research, public health, educational and translational capability in infectious diseases, including COVID-19 and other major global health issues.
AusStroke

The Australian Stroke Alliance hosts a team of leaders from across Australia including government, academic, health, consumer and commercial agencies. Together, we are addressing urgent research questions and delivering our vision to develop world-first disruptive technologies to radically transform access to early pre-hospital treatments and to dramatically improve stroke outcomes for all Australians.
CPC

The Centre for Palliative Care is part of St Vincent’s Hospital and a Collaborative Centre of The University of Melbourne. The Centre plays a pivotal role in the development and delivery of state-wide training and education programs for health professionals from a variety of disciplines. Our diverse research program, which includes collaborations with other palliative experts from throughout Australia and around the world, seeks to set benchmarks and improve practices in palliative care.
MACH

As an NHMRC-accredited joint venture between Victoria’s top healthcare providers, medical research institutes and leading universities, MACH’s purpose is to facilitate collaboration between academia and healthcare to accelerate the translation of innovative research into clinical care and better patient outcomes.
MGHA

In 2013, leading Victorian hospitals, research and academic institutions joined forces to create the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance. We wanted global genomics knowledge to inform individual care for Victorians.
VCCC Alliance

The VCCC Alliance is a powerful partnership of 10 leading research, academic and clinical institutions, working together to fundamentally reshape the way we tackle cancer. Through strategic, structured collaboration we drive change at a system level. Our innovative, integrated approach helps accelerate the translation of cutting-edge scientific evidence into better outcomes for people affected by cancer.
