Collaborative Practice Coordinator - MDS
Claire is a Senior Lecturer in Dental Public Health at the Melbourne Dental School and is responsible for coordinating the health promotion subject in the second year of the Bachelor of Oral Health program.
Claire commenced her career as an oral health therapist and has over 18 years of experience in clinical dentistry, predominantly in the public sector. Claire is dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences, emphasising collaborative and student-centred learning.
In her professional approach, Claire is guided by the principles of person-centred healthcare and student-centred education. Her interests, which include dental public health, communication in healthcare, curriculum design and implementation, and assessment design, are all driven by her keen interest in understanding the student experience and its influence on learning and student outcomes.
