The University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences has cooperative partnerships with leading universities and educational organisations across the United States and Canada that have led to important medical and scientific breakthroughs, attracting significant funding from Australian and international funding bodies, and led to improvements in the health of people the world over.
USA
Working in close collaboration with US colleagues in organisations such as the National Institutes of Health and at universities including Harvard, John Hopkins, Stanford and Washington, researchers from the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences have attracted significant funding from a wide range of organisations including, Alzheimer’s Association USA, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Australian Academy of Science, Australian Research Council, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, National Health and Medical Research Council and National Institute of Health. Such crucial funding has led to life-changing health and wellbeing outcomes, informed by over 5000 peer-reviewed papers in leading medical journals since 2018.

The University of Melbourne's Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences has cooperative partnerships with leading Canadian organisations and universities that have attracted funding from a wide range of national and international funding bodies including Alzheimer’s Australia Dementia Research Foundation, Australian Research Council, Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Cancer Australia, Global Health Innovative Technology Fund, Movember, National Health and Medical Research Council, and the National Institute of Health and Suicide Prevention Australia. Working with Canadian colleagues, Melbourne researchers co-publish over 2500 publications between 2018 and 2023.
