I was thrilled to be accepted to the Melbourne Medical School! I grew up in a rural sugar cane town in northern NSW in a family of seven. After studying Medical Science in Brisbane, I worked in a cytogenetics laboratory for five years before moving to Melbourne to pursue this goal.

I identify as Aboriginal and I am passionate about Indigenous Health. I have also taken a particular liking to emergency medicine. As a future doctor, I would like to combine my passions for Indigenous Health and emergency medicine and I look forward to seeking opportunities to contribute to both of these areas throughout my degree. Thank you again, I feel very lucky to have received this scholarship.
