These scholarships will definitely improve my financial circumstances going forward.  Studying medicine does have challenging moments, especially being away from home. As I am currently undertaking clinical training in Shepparton, my costs have increased.

My family moved from South Korea when I was in primary school and we now live in Melbourne. Both my parents work in the medical system, as a hospital assistant and a counsellor. I’m immensely proud of and grateful to them, as their stories of interactions with patients  and medical staff are ultimately what inspired me and my twin brother to become doctors.

I wish to expand my knowledge and build on my skills through extra training programs and conferences. This is now a possibility through your generous support. Thank you.

I absolutely love what I study. It is my aspiration to be an orthopaedic surgeon or an ophthalmologist in the future. This would combine my passion for improving patients’  quality of life with my interest in anatomy.
