Applications Open for Momentum Fellowships

Applications for the second round of MDHS Momentum Fellowships are now open.

The Momentum Fellowships aim to support the career progression of our early to mid-career researchers who have experienced extraordinary personal circumstances that have significantly impacted their career trajectory.

Examples may include but are not limited to: staff who have experienced the impact of losing a partner, severe family disruption, increased caring responsibilities, chronic illness, lived experience of disability or mental health, treatment for a serious illness or accident, or circumstances that have impacted on opportunities to drive their research program.

Two fellowships are available and include a maximum award of up to $100,000 per year for salary and research-related expenses over a maximum two-year term.

Who can apply?

Eligible staff include Level B and C academics who are employed on short term/non-secure contracts (fixed-term and continuing-research contingent) in the Faculty, whose extraordinary personal circumstances, including disability, physical and mental health conditions and markedly disproportionate caring responsibilities, have significantly impacted on their capacity to maintain and progress their academic career.
