About

To provide scholarships for enrolling graduate coursework domestic students who intend to undertake the Doctor of Medicine and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances. Preference is given to students who are in financial need.

Benefits

$10,000 per year for the duration of the Doctor of Medicine.

To be considered for this award, students must:

Selection

Recipients will be selected by the Melbourne Medical School Scholarships and Bursary Allocation Committee made up of senior professional and academic staff members of the School. The selection of recipients is based on the applicant’s financial aid ranking as provided by the University Scholarships office.

Application

Students must submit an online Student Financial Assessment form by the Round One closing date through Melbourne Scholarships. Applications will be assessed and ranked by Scholarships & Bursaries (University Services) using the Student Financial Assessment form.

Outcome

Students will be notified of the student bursary outcomes in May.
