About
Donor: Mrs Catherine Medgett in memory of her son, Dr Iain Medgett. Dr Medgett graduated from the University with the degrees of Bachelor of Science with Honours in 1977 and Doctor of Philosophy in 1979.

The value of each award is determined by the Council on the recommendation of the committee having regard to the travel expenses of each recipient.

Eligibility
To be considered for this award, students must:
- Be enrolled full time in either a Research Higher Degree (MPhil and PhD) or Master of Biomedical Science (MC-BMEDSC) student who is currently enrolled through the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology.
- Use the scholarship in the same year it is awarded. If the applicant is unable to attend scientific meeting, conference or short course, then the scholarship will be withdrawn.
- Only apply for one scientific meeting, conference or short course at a time.
Students can reapply for the scholarship, even if they have previously received financial support
Selection
Awards are made based on the benefit to the student by attending the proposed meeting or course of study.

Recipients must:
