MDHS Graduate Research Trust Scholarships Terms and Conditions

  • MDHS graduate research trust scholarships are funded from trust income and as such, the purpose of these funds is limited by the rules of the trust and the level of funding available in each round.
  • Amounts advertised are approximate and the final amount to be awarded will be confirmed at the time of offer.
  • Funds awarded may be shared among more than one recipient, at the discretion of the Research Training Committee.
  • Should you be awarded a multi-year scholarship to support your research higher degree studies, (eg. The Faculty expects students will take up external scholarship funding whenever this is offered and in place of the MDHS graduate research trust scholarship. Where a MDHS graduate research trust scholarship is offered for travel purposes, holders of multi-year scholarships are eligible to apply.
  • MDHS graduate research trust scholarships are normally paid at the same rate as the Melbourne Research Scholarship (MRS), however other benefits and conditions of the MRS scheme such as paid sick or maternity leave may not be available due to limitations on the availability of funds. Refer to your offer letter for information about the rate applicable to your award.
  • The majority of graduate research trust scholarships are opened for applications in the application round that closes 31st October each year.
  • MDHS graduate research trust scholarships are normally paid fortnightly.
