Associate Professor Laura Downie from the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences represented SPARK Melbourne at the Life Sciences Innovation Expo held as part of the SPARK Global conference in September 2019.

A/Prof Downie was one of four team-leads invited by the National Executive Committee of Accelerating Australia to present her biomedical technology opportunity - a point of care device for dry eye diagnosis.

Presentations were followed by an expo of other early stage, biomedical technology opportunities by Accelerating Australia innovators nationally (including other SPARK Melbourne teams).
