Clinical Trials Snapshot: The SNAP Trial

The Staphylococcus aureus Network Adaptive Platform (SNAP) trial is a global, pragmatic, whole-of-life study consisting of an adaptive platform trial, nested within a clinical quality registry.
To date, SNAP has enrolled 2022 participants to the randomised platform and 2352 participants to the registry across 8 regions. Countries currently recruiting include Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Singapore, Israel, South Africa, The United Kingdom, and Europe, with additional sites expected to join across Europe, North and South America, Malaysia and Japan.
The SNAP trial is already considerably larger than any other clinical trial for S. aureus bloodstream infections. The trial will address multiple therapeutic and diagnostic questions judged to be of the highest priority by the global infectious diseases community.
