The PLATIPUS Trial Launches New Domain
A major milestone for neonatal research today with the launch of the BabyCCINO Trial.
BabyCCINO will investigate optimal caffeine dosing for preterm infants with the goal of improving outcomes for babies born too soon. It is part of the PLATIPUS (PLatform for Adaptive Trials In Perinatal UnitS) trial, that explores which medicines or therapies are best for improving the current and future health and wellbeing of pregnant women and their babies who are born preterm.
Recruitment is expected to begin shortly for BabyCCINO at the Mercy Hospital for Women before rolling out to sites across Australia and internationally.
Congratulations to Prof Brett Manley, A/Prof Clare Whitehead and their outstanding team on bringing this important trial to life. For more information on this study, please visit the PLATIPUS trial website here.
