Applications Now Open - Future Leader Fellows for Clinical Trials Fellowship Program
We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Victorian Future Leader Fellows for Clinical Trials Fellowship Program, with two Fellowships available through MACH.
This initiative aims to strengthen Victoria’s clinical trials ecosystem by supporting frontline staff to improve participation, recruitment, awareness and capability across Victoria.
The Fellowship Program will support projects focused on evidence-based approaches to increasing participation in investigator-initiated and commercially sponsored clinical trials, including:
- improving patient awareness and recruitment at clinical sites
- strengthening digital promotion and innovative recruitment approaches
- increasing equity and access for underrepresented and priority population groups
- building workforce capability for meaningful consumer and community involvement.
The program is delivered through the Victorian Research Translation Centre Collaborative (VRTCC) consisting of Victoria’s three NHMRC-accredited Research Translation Centres – MACH, Monash Partners Health Translation Network and Western Alliance Academic Health Science Centre – with support from Victorian Government.
A total of 15 Fellows (five per Research Translation Centre) will be appointed across two rounds with each Fellow supporting up to 0.5 FTE (up to $130,000) over two years to deliver a project with potential for statewide impact.
Applicants for MACH Fellowships must be employed at a MACH partner organisation and supported by a research supervisor from a MACH partner organisation. Clinical backgrounds are not required.
Round 1 applications close at midnight, Sunday 5 July 2026, with Fellowships commencing from September 2026. Applications for MACH Fellowships will be processed by the Melbourne Centre for Clinical Trials (MCCT).
