Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research
The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute is Australia's oldest medical research institute. It was founded in 1915 with financial support from a trust established by Eliza Hall, following the death of her husband Walter.
Western Health (WH) manages three acute public hospitals: Footscray Hospital at Footscray; Sunshine Hospital at St Albans; and the Williamstown Hospital. It also operates the Sunbury Day Hospital, and a Transition Care Program at Hazeldean in Williamstown.
