2020 MDHS ECR Network Symposium

The MDHS ECR Network Symposium will be held virtually across two days. These will be on the morning of the Wednesday 28 October and in the afternoon of Thursday 29 October.

The Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) Early Career Researcher (ECR) Network is an ECR-led committee that supports early-mid career researchers within the Faculty of MDHS.

The Network organises a yearly symposium for researchers to expand their network and share their research – this year marks our 6th symposium, which will be held virtually across two days. These will be on the morning of the Wednesday 28 October and in the afternoon of Thursday 29 October.

The program will include oral presentations from MDHS ECRs, as well as two plenary keynote speakers:

Dr Claudia Marck, PhD, University of Melbourne, Melbourne School Of Population And Global Health

Dr Claudia Marck was co-chair of the ECR network for 2 years and founded the MDHS ECR Leadership course in 2018. She is a NHMRC Early Career Fellow, and works as a Senior Research Fellow in the Disability and Health Unit of the Melbourne School for Population and Global Health. She obtained her Master’s degree in Psychology in the Netherlands where she was born and raised. She came to Australia in 2008 and completed her PhD in 2015. Her interests span chronic disease prevention and management, in particular multiple sclerosis, health behaviours, as well as academic leadership, diversity and inclusion.

There are several cash prizes for best oral and poster presentations to be won and registration is free.
