Professor Wendy Chapman named 2023 ACMI Distinguished Fellow
Professor Wendy Chapman, Director for the Centre for Digital Transformation of Health, was formally recognised as one of the three distinguished Fellows of the 2023 American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI).
The ACMI award, announced on Sunday 12 November 2023 at the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) 2023 Annual Symposium, recognises the personal commitment and sustained contributions to the field of medical informatics. Professor Chapman has been a Member of the American Medical Informatics Association since 1996 and has been a ACMI Fellow since 2010. She has spent more than 20 years developing and evaluating AI/natural language processing algorithms and has led many multidisciplinary programs of work focused on research, education, and application of digital health. Her current passion includes how to best design, implement, and validate digital innovations like AI and virtual care in healthcare settings.
