Eligibility

Nominations are open to all final year MD students (Australian citizens, permanent residents and internationals) enrolled in Transition to Practice.

Selection

The Tran-Hawthorne Prize will be awarded to a final-year MD student who demonstrates a passion for both patient-centred care and cutting-edge medical science.

Application

Doctor of Medicine students are nominated by their Vocational Selective supervisor and are then invited to submit a personal statement.

Outcome

Students will be notified at the start of November if they have been nominated for the prize.
