Donor: Professor Lesleyanne Hawthorne, in memory of her late husband, Associate Professor Graeme Hawthorne, and in acknowledgement of the exemplary clinical care provided to him by Dr Ben Tran.

Eligibility
Awarded annually to a medical student enrolled in the Vocational Selective subject of Transition to Practice (MEDS90025) in the final semester of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) who demonstrates a passion for both patient-centred care and cutting-edge medical science.
Application
Doctor of Medicine students are nominated by their Vocational Selective supervisor and are then invited to submit a personal statement.
Outcome
Students will be notified at the start of November if they have been nominated for the prize.
