About

This prize is named after Peter Disler, Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Melbourne from 1993. In his time at Melbourne he was a pioneer in developing a rehabilitation curriculum for medical students, and was a charismatic, enthusiastic and inspiring mentor and teacher. Sponsored by the RMSANZ Rehabilitation Society.

(Previously sponsored by the Rehab Specialists at Melbourne Health. Formerly known as the Rehabilitation Medicine Prize.)

Eligibility

Awarded to the student who is regarded by all the members of the viva examining panel as having given the best answer to the Rehabilitation Medicine Prize question in the Aged Care Prize viva exam.

Selection

This prize is awarded as part of the Aged Care Prize viva exam.

Eligible Doctor of Medicine students will be invited to participate in their fourth year based on their Aged Care term results from Principles of Clinical Practice 3.
