About
In 2018, the University gratefully received a donation from Professor Christos Pantelis and Mrs Kimberley Pantelis to establish the Nikolaos and Dimitra Pantelis Travelling Scholarship in honour of Christos’ parents.
This award will support a graduate research student undertaking schizophrenia research, within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Melbourne, to present at a national or international conference, and/or to work in an internationally recognised lab.
Benefits
In 2022, a $2,500 award will be available.

Eligibility
The award is open to a graduate research student undertaking schizophrenia research, within the Department of Psychiatry, to present at a national or international conference, and/or to work in an internationally recognised lab.
Selection
Selection will be based on an applicant's:
- Potential to make a significant contribution to schizophrenia research and approaches
- Capacity to communicate complex ideas and theory, and to undertake research in a clinical setting.
The selection of applications for the award is undertaken by an assessment committee.

Outcome
Applicants will be advised by email of the outcome of the award process.

More information
- Travel must be undertaken in the year that the scholarship is awarded.
- The scholarship recipient will be required to make a presentation and submit a written report on the outcomes of their scholarship.
