About

The award was established to support Master of Psychology students experiencing financial hardship whilst undertaking training towards professional registration.

Benefits

Total of 2 awards offered per year. The total value for each scholarship is $5,000 each. Recipients of the award receive 4 payments of $1,250 across four semesters of study. The scholarship provides an allowance of $1,250 per semester for the duration of the 2 year full-time course. The allowance is usually paid in April and September after census date.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to be enrolled in one of the courses below and experiencing financial hardship:

  • Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology)
  • Master of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology)

The awards will be offered to the student(s):

  • With the highest financial need scores.

Students must submit an online Student Financial Assessment form and applications will be assessed and ranked using the Student Financial Assessment.

More information

The scholarship cannot be deferred – this is consistent with the course offer not be available for deferment. Students must maintain a full-time enrolment unless exceptional circumstances apply in which case a request for a part-time enrolment with scholarship will be considered – if approved, the scholarship will be paid pro-rata. Students must maintain satisfactory enrolment (i.e. pass grade across all subjects within the semester) to receive the benefits of the award. In the event of a tie, both students will each be awarded the bursary amount of $5,000.
