Eligibility

A needs-based scholarship/s to cover living expenses (not tuition) for a medical student at The University of Melbourne. These scholarships “to meet accommodation expenses incurred in connection with his or her medical studies” are tenable for one year, but recipients may re-apply in successive years.

Selection

Recipients will be selected by the Melbourne Medical School Scholarships and Bursary Allocation Committee made up of senior professional and academic staff members of the School. The selection of recipients is based on the applicant’s financial aid ranking as provided by the University Scholarships office.

Application

Students must submit an online Student Financial Assessment form (Round one) by the closing date.

Outcome

Students will be notified of the student bursary outcomes in late May.
