Donor: These prizes is made available from a donation from Dr Ian Katz, who is a University of Melbourne alumni graduating from Melbourne Medical School in with an MBBS (1988) and MMed(Psych) (2002).
To provide prizes, for the highest achieving student(s) in one or more Level 2 Pharmacology subjects and the highest achieving student(s), and second highest achieving student(s) majoring in Pharmacology in the third year of study in an undergraduate degree.

Eligibility
1. Awarded Annually to the top student in the Pharmacology major (B-SCI or B-BMED), based on
the highest aggregate mark in PHRM30002, PHRM30003, PHRM30008 and PHRM30009 (or their
successors).
2. Awarded Annually to the second top student in the Pharmacology major (B-SCI or B-BMED),
based on the second highest aggregate mark in PHRM30002, PHRM30003, PHRM30008 and
PHRM30009 (or their successors)
3. Awarded Annually to the top student in second year Pharmacology subject - PHRM20001

Selection
1 and 2. Students who graduate in the previous year with a Pharmacology major nominated on study plan will have results in PHRM30002, PHRM30003, PHRM30008 and PHRM30009 reviewed to determine the student with the highest and second highest aggregate mark in the subjects that comprise the major.
3 and 4. Results in PHRM20001 from the previous year reviewed to identify the top and second top achieving student.

Selection based on results as per the eligibility criteria.
Outcome
Prize recipients will be advised in writing in Semester One of the following academic year.
