About
Donor: The late Kathleen Mary Johnston.
To award annual scholarships to full time residential students enrolling in the Doctor of Medicine, who have relocated from family residing at least 80 kilometres from GPO Melbourne. Scholarship paid as a bursary for the duration of the degree to support accommodation and living costs.

Eligibility
To be considered for this award:
- You must be enrolled in your second year of study in the Doctor of Medicine
- You must be a full-time residential student who has relocated for the purpose of study, with preference given to students completing a placement at a Rural Clinical School site
- Your family's principal place of residence is located at least 80km from GPO Melbourne
Selection
Recipients will be selected by the Melbourne Medical School Scholarships and Bursary Allocation Committee made up of senior professional and academic staff members of the School.
The selection of recipients is based on the applicant’s financial aid ranking as provided by the University Scholarships office.
Application
Students must submit an online Student Financial Assessment form (Round one) by the closing date.
Outcome
Students will be notified of the student bursary outcomes in late May.
