Benefits

The value of the scholarship is $5,000.

The scholarship consists of a funding and mentoring component. The mentoring component is an optional opportunity for the successful applicant.

Eligibility

Students commencing Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the Melbourne Medical School, University of Melbourne.

Selection

Recipient is selected from commencing intake of MD students based on refugee status and GAM score, demonstrated financial need and potential for academic excellence.

Application

To be eligible, student must submit a Financial Aid Grant Application (online application) and be enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine.

Outcome

The recipient will be notified after they have received their Doctor of Medicine offer.

Students must have received and accepted an unconditional offer for the Doctor of Medicine before the scholarship is formally awarded.
