About

The Melbourne School of Population and Global Health is seeking to increase Indigenous enrolments in its graduate programs. This is to provide equitable access to education for all academically high-achieving students.
The intention of this award is to support the enrolment into and successful completion of MSPGH graduate programs by Indigenous candidates.

Benefits

A living allowance of $5,500 will be awarded.
All graduate Indigenous students receive a Commonwealth Supported Place. MSPGH would offer a further $4,000* for a Graduate Certificate Indigenous student to offset the student contribution remaining after the CSP (if full University fee remission is not available).
* Note: This CSP offset amount may be reviewed annually in line with changes in CSP Student contributions

Up to $160,000 is available to fund this program across multiple years.

Disclaimer: The benefit amount for this award is approximate. It will be confirmed at the time of awarding and determined by the committee according to the terms of the award.

Eligibility

To be considered for this award, students must:
1. Have received an offer or be enrolled in one of the Graduate Certificates offered in the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, and

2. Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (identity verified via the University's Confirmation of Identity process)

Selection

All students meeting eligibility will be offered the scholarship.

Application

No application process required. All eligible students will receive the scholarship. The academic programs manager will make offers to eligible students after confirming their Indigenous status.
