Department of Nursing
Thank you for choosing a student from the Department of Nursing. This website has been designed to provide you with information to assist you in your role as Clinical Educator for Master of Nursing Science (MNSc) students undertaking their Professional Experience Placement (PEP). The MNSc is an intensive graduate entry, five-semester, full-time program with 6 specific subjects that incorporate clinical placement, in addition to theoretical subjects.
Our students come from a diverse range of backgrounds; having already completed at least an undergraduate degree, many have been employed within their original disciplines for several years. As such, the student cohort brings attributes and experiences to the profession that are distinctively different from that of school leavers who join the nursing profession.
-
Before placement
It’s a good idea to start planning early for your student’s first day, as there are a few things you may need to organise.
-
During placement
Whilst on placement students are directed to produce work to your specifications, including your preferred formatting, writing and reference style.
-
Conclusion of placement
Ensure your student concludes the student placement successfully by completing the relevant end of placement activities.
