The MDHS Graduate Research Conference 2025 is the flagship event for graduate researchers across the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Held over two days, this student-led conference offers an inclusive platform for graduate researchers to present their work, connect with peers, and engage with leading experts in their field.
The conference is dedicated to representing all disciplines equally across MDHS - from biomedical discovery to public health, clinical care, mental health, policy, and beyond.

Abstract submissions
We warmly invite abstract submissions for both oral and poster presentations. Whether you are working in the lab, clinic, community, or policy space, this is your opportunity to share your research and contribute to the diverse and dynamic MDHS research community.
If you wish to submit an abstract, please read and follow the abstract submission guidelines.
Abstract submission deadline: Wednesday, 27 August 11:59pm AEDT. No late submissions will be accepted.
2025 Theme
"From Bench to Bedside: Fostering Innovation Across Medical Research and Healthcare"
This year's theme celebrates the power of cross-disciplinary research in transforming discovery into real-world impact. The program will explore how innovation in the basic sciences integrates with clinical application, behavioural interventions, public health policy, and societal change.

Venue
Redmond Barry Building
The Redmond Barry Building is for MDHS students and staff. It encompasses the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences (levels 6-12) as well as Biosciences (levels 2-5). It is located along Tin Alley, and right next to MSD.
If you need wheelchair access, enter via the northern or eastern side. Lifts are at the eastern entrance.
