Summary The monitoring of neurological function of intensive care patients is challenging given that the majority of patients are incapable of following instructions. The opportunity to derive meaningful neurological assessment using smart wearable devices is ever growing given recent rapid evolution in artificial intelligence techniques. This project aims to develop novel machine learning algorithms to aid the clinical interpretation of smart device signals and to develop clinical management decision assistance tools.

The project will be conducted at the Melbourne Brain Centre @ Royal Melbourne Hospital.
