Summary We will examine the impact of the sepsis pathway to determine the effect on patient outcomes in all haematology patients at Peter Mac and RMH
Project Details
We have implemented a hospital-wide standardised sepsis pathway at Peter Mac and RMH since 2013. Data collected includes compliance to the sepsis pathway and treatment outcomes. This honours project will review the patient and administrative data for compliance rates and assess the effects of compliance on patient outcomes. The student will work within the infectious diseases department at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and gain exposure to health services research methodology including database mining and management, statistical analysis and health economics.
