Summary The study has already collected data over 20 years and there is opportunity for publication. This project would suit a candidate with an interest in ageing.
Frailty is a loss of physiological reserve in older adults that is predictive of functional decline and mortality. Frailty is influenced by many biological and social factors, and this project will examine the impact of factors from mid-life on health status in older age by using a longitudinal data set. This project will use data from the internationally renowned Women’s Healthy Ageing Project (WHAP) to work towards answering important questions to understand population ageing and interventions to improve health in older age, with the overall aim of developing population interventions to improve health in older age.
Opportunities: You will have the opportunity to work with an internationally renowned cohort and research team each with international recognition. The study has already collected data over 20 years and there is opportunity for publication.
This project would suit a candidate with an interest in ageing.
