Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and academically high-performing student to be involved in an honours project investigating the emotional intelligence, dysregulation and coping strategies of individuals with bipolar disorder.
Bipolar disorder is a severe mental illness that is fundamentally a disorder of mood and emotion dysregulation. The aim of this project is to further examine performance on a range of measures and characterise the various facets of emotion processing in this cohort.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to craft a thesis topic aligned to their interests utilising data collected from previous longitudinal or cross-sectional studies as well as on-going studies.
The successful applicant should have an undergraduate degree in a relevant field (science, psychology, psychophysiology and/or neuroscience) with excellent results. Whilst this project is designed to be suitable for an honours year, students who are at a masters or PhD level and are interested in this topic should enquire, as there is substantial room for expansion on this topic. Students with their own scholarship funding are welcomed.
