UK CMO Dame Sally Davies visits the University

""

Last month, on the back of a novichok poisoning and cabinet reshuffle in the UK, Chief Medical Officer Professor Dame Sally Davies visited the Faculty for a few days and was awarded a Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) by the University.

Professor Davies had a very busy few days in Melbourne, meeting with MACH, the Department of Health and Human Services, and others; appearing on Jon Faine’s The Conversation Hour with our Dean (listen here: http://go.unimelb.edu.au/eiy6); hosting a seminar on the influence of gender in pursuing clinical research careers; and delivering the 41st Halford Oration on antimicrobial resistance (watch here: http://go.unimelb.edu.au/46y6).
