Pretty little things under the coverslip

As part the Metro construction happening at our front door, the CYP (Cross Yarra Partnership) has made a commitment to keep the city vibrant and moving. You may have noticed some very colourful displays in and around the North and South of Grattan Street.

“Pretty Little Things” is a collection of images from under the coverslip of the microscope. They have been magnified and enhanced with glow in the dark paint to provide light and texture. The works were sourced from students and staff from a range of places in Melbourne. However, the majority of the works come from the University of Melbourne.

These artworks will be around for much of this year and there is commitment from the CYP to continue with art projects for the duration of the building schedule in all areas impacted by the construction.
