Melbourne Medical School Reunion Weekend
The inaugural MMS Reunion Weekend
This November, the Melbourne Medical School will hold its very first Reunion Weekend. The weekend will be a chance for MMS alumni to return to campus and reconnect with classmates, no matter when they graduated.
Program of events
A range of events will take place across 23-24 November, including a 50th anniversary Block Party celebration for the Med Building, a professional development networking lunch and a panel discussion on the evolution of medical research.
There will be tours of the tunnels beneath the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Medical History Museum and the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity. The Metro Tunnel team will also lead hard hat tours of the new Parkville Station site.
Those celebrating milestone reunions will be invited to attend individual class reunion events during the weekend.
Looking to the future
This year’s MMS Reunion Weekend is part of a pilot program run by the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. If you’re interested in helping plan a reunion for 2019, please contact the MDHS Alumni Team.
