Join us on Friday night for a celebration of the Med Building's 50th Anniversary, hosted by our Dean, Professor Shitij Kapur.

Enjoy an alfresco BBQ along Professors' Walk with fellow MMS and SBS alumni, staff and friends to a backdrop of live music.

During the evening the Med Building will hold an Open House where you can reminisce about days gone by and see what's new. While you're there, catch a screening of the Med Building documentary featuring untold stories of the place and its people over the last half century.

Med Building Documentary

Premiering at the Block Party on Friday and screening across the day on Saturday, the Med Building documentary looks into some of the incredible stories (both personal and professional) that began in the triradiate building.

Hear the love stories, meet multigenerational families of medicine graduates, and revisit the unusual teaching practices of well-loved professors.

From Parkville to Mount Beauty to Katherine, and all manner of places in between, the film celebrates those who have studied in the Med Building.

Parking: Complimentary parking is available over the weekend at University Square Car Park, entrance at 244 Bouverie St or 206 Berkeley St; and Royal Parade Car Park, between Genetics Lane and Medical Road (beneath Kenneth Myer Building).
