Dr Asiel Adan Sanchez is an academic registrar at the Department of General Practice. They are a medical graduate from The University of Melbourne and completed their medical training in Melbourne’s west, working in emergency, psychiatry, general medicine, obstetrics and pediatrics. Their research focuses on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) health in medical education. Asiel is a member of the Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Sexual Health Medicine and has a special interest in HIV medicine, sexual health and transaffirming healthcare. Asiel's recent collaborative research and their online resource, Wavelength, is available here. Wavelength is a free open access resource on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex health for medical students and health professionals.
