Using Clinical Informatics to Drive Value Based Healthcare

This seminar will present approaches to the management of data from the healthcare system to improve patient care and enable better understanding of patient populations. It will discuss the building of data repositories, gaining insights into patient populations, and methods to interact with providers and patients using Apps and integrated technologies. Implications for clinicians, hospitals and healthcare systems will be discussed.

Murphy, MD, PhD, is the Chief Research Information Officer at Partners HealthCare and a Professor of Neurology and Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School. He completed a fellowship in Medical Informatics at the Massachusetts General Hospital Laboratory of Computer Science, where he currently serves as an Associate Director.
