Professor Rana Hinman (PhD 2003, BPhysio 1995) led the research team involved in one of the University's most successful corporate partnership collaborations: the ASICS Gel-Melbourne OA shoe. The shoe was designed specifically for those suffering knee osteoarthritis, for which there is currently no cure, and has been proven to reduce knee load during walking.
