Cochlear implants in adults and children

Research Overview

This research theme covers all clinical aspects of the application of cochlear implants in adults and children as well as attempting to understand the underlying neuroscience of cochlear implant hearing.  The research is multidisciplinary, often involving audiology, speech and language pathology, surgery, mechanical and electronic engineering, psychophysics, auditory neuroscience and rehabilitative sciences.
