Message from the Dean, 29 June 2020
I hope you enjoyed a pleasant and sunny weekend.
We are in the third week of exams, and it’s remarkable how quickly we pivoted online and adapted years of practice. My sincere appreciation and thanks to staff who’ve made it possible.
The increase in cases of the virus in Victoria has captured our attention and reinforces the importance of caution.
In this video update I cover:
- We are now in the early stages of Phase 2 of our roadmap to a partial return to campus
- 'The science behind the search for a COVID-19 vaccine' special report published in Pursuit
- The latest episode of Life Beyond Coronavirus: Preventing the next pandemic, featuring Professors Peter Doherty, Brett Sutton, Sharon Lewin AO, and Associate Professor Tom Daly
- How you can register for the next round of Faculty staff town hall meetings, and ask a question
- A new commission of photographic portraits will appear on Royal Parade in July, featuring some of the heroes of the pandemic, many of which are MDHS staff
I hope you have a wonderful week. Stay safe and keep well.
