Message from the Dean, 28 July 2020

I'm delighted to congratulate MDHS students who are graduating this week. The passion and resilience you've demonstrated in achieving this milestone during the pandemic is commendable. In true 2020 style we're throwing a digital celebration. MDHS staff and teams are also invited to post a digital message to our newest graduates here.

In this video update I also cover:

  • The latest in COVID science, including a study of the vaccine from Oxford University now in phase 3 trials and another study from US cities that looks at the extent of asymptomatic cases
  • If you're home schooling children at the moment, our Department of Social Work has a guidebook for adults written by children, developed with Dr David Denborough and students from the Master of Narrative Therapy and Community Work
  • A message from Professor Sarah Wilson, Head of the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences about experimenting with our routines and staying optimistic
  • More of your excellent strategies for staying positive during lockdown, including DIY mini-golf and family table tennis tournaments, keep sending them for your chance to win a wellbeing prize pack

For the latest information on the University's COVID-19 response please visit the dedicated page.

Stay safe and keep well.
