Sonia Shaikh

Sonia is a social scientist who works on human-AI interaction and its impact on judgement & decision-making, communication, and performance in individual, team, and organisational settings.

Sonia uses interdisciplinary approaches and cutting-edge research methods to understand how technology implementation intersects with environmental features and cognitive factors to impact behaviours and rationality in humans. She has a PhD from the University of Southern California and is currently a Lecturer at the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne. She is also a New Horizons Fellow in Residence at the Collaborative Practice Centre.
