Paul Eleftheriou

Paul is a highly experienced medical administrator and healthcare leader with a strong background in governance, strategy, and clinical leadership across public and private health sectors.

Paul brings more than 10 years' experience as a health service executive, most previously as Chief Medical Officer at Western Health, a multi-campus health network with a budget >$1 billion. He has extensive experience across health service management, especially in health workforce reform, corporate and clinical governance across the public and private sectors.
Paul is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators, member of the Australasian College of Health Service Management, Graduate of the Australian Company Directors Course and is a Board Director of MIPS Medical Indemnity Insurance. Paul also holds a Master of Health Administration from La Trobe University.
Paul obtained his MBBS from the Melbourne Medical School and practiced as a medical practitioner in metropolitan, regional and rural settings. Paul also taught anatomy, clinical skills and professional development at the Melbourne Medical School after completing the Melbourne Teaching Certificate and Diploma of Surgical Anatomy, both the at the University of Melbourne.
From 2022, Paul has been a Principal and the co-lead of digital health at the Nous Group, a Melbourne-based International management consultancy. Paul works extensively with the Department of Health Victoria and the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care. Paul also leads much of the firm’s work with hospitals, aged care and mental health services, and has led major projects focused on health workforce reform, digital health and Voluntary Assisted Dying. Paul has also developed numerous strategic plans and organisational change for health services, medical research institutes and university departments.
